I have been slacking on writing anything here...

I guess I ought to say a couple of things ---

I notice that Gma's feet seem to be angled out,  i.e.,  she seems to have lost strength to keep an arch in her feet.  She's not quite walking on her ankles, but it looks to be headed in that direction.

The nurse is now going to start keeping a close watch on her blood pressure.  She said that as her BP goes up that I/we may need to administer more/stronger pain meds, as the BP is an indicator of stress or something inside that she may not verbalize.

The nurse took photos of the tumor on her last visit (Thu) and showed them to me.   She said that the tumor is now the size of a grapefruit and the photos confirm that and also it looks bruised and what I call a "very angry" appearance.  The nurse is now waiting for it to open up.  There is a thin, white, shiny spot amongst all the bruising and that would be the break-thru spot.

Gma is still quite upbeat, though she & I have talked about the future and she can get down at times as she remembers all the things that she could do and now she can't do any of it anymore.  Since there is nothing that either of can us do about the situation, we decided to just be as happy as we can be and let the future just happen as it does...

Her mental state seems to be directly connected to how rested she is.  The more sleep/naps she has the better she thinks.  She is still wanting to "entertain" (be the hostess) whenever anyone is here, and that includes me.  She wants to be wherever I am -- cooking, washing dishes, etc., and be awake if I am awake...

And so, here we are!
Stay Tuned.
Ask questions if you want...

Happy (US) Thanksgiving during this upcoming week...
