Hi All,
Gma is doing OK.
* She needs help getting into and out of bed.
* She doesn't wheel herself around the facility.
I wonder if she fears getting lost,
or if there really any place that interests her?
* She doesn't remember quite so well and doesn't necessarily connect things going on around her. But she does remember things -- I call it a spotty memory --- Short Term Mem comes and goes...
* She mostly just does whatever someone tells her to do.
** But she remains cheerful and amiable.
* The doctor wrote an Rx for her to have Physical Therapy. She should have gone to her first session this afternoon. I'll get a report from her in the morning. Both she and I are wondering if the PT will be a benefit for her.
* (She tells me that she wants to go home to be with her sweetie... She said this on Monday but today with much more feeling than I've heard her say it during the last year.)
* We are wondering if the $65/mo telephone bill is worth having a phone in her room. She only gets 3-5 calls per month... You can chime in on this issue of you want to...
* She has a TV in her room, but I rarely hear that she uses it. I wonder if the remote has become too complicated for her or if there is just nothing on that interests her.... (Even though I found the TVLand channel for her -- Gun Smoke, Andy Griffith Show, and other shows from that era that she would remember and feel comfortable with).
In this entry I'm sure you've seen the photo of her in her bed -- taken 11/28/2016.

Thanks for the updates. Sad to hear her be less active or interested in anything. Does she have a chair in her room or she just stays in bed? Wow, the phone is expensive! I would miss not being able to call her or communicate with her but on the other hand, I understand if you have to let it go. I'll have to call her more often then, huh?
