Gma fell this morning

Hi all,
Here are two pictures - Gma's activity schedule for this week and one of her in her bed this afternoon.

I got a call from the nurse this morning.  She said that Gma had fallen in the bathroom.  An aid was in there with her, turned around for two seconds, heard a noise and Gma was on the floor.  It took two of them to get her up.  She didn't break anything, but will have a bruise on her back and a sore left arm.

Gma will go see the doctor on Oct 28th.

Stay tuned....

Had a nice chat with Grandma this afternoon. She told me all about painting pumpkins and then we reminisced about the different changes she'd seen over her lifetime. Fun to hear about her learning to drive a car and going to watch the man on the moon on a local TV in a storefront window.

She seemed to slur a bit as she talked. Is that her dentures? She hasn't had a stroke, has she?

Much love,
Traci

Traci -- I would think that it is her dentures that made her sound a little differently. I don't think she has had a stroke... She is in her bed when she is not out to an activity or having a meal. That position does make her sound a little differently, now that you mention it.

I sure am glad that you had such a nice visit with her. I bet that she really liked that...
